Removed Vaccine Mandates: The rule drops school and daycare entry requirements for chickenpox (varicella), hepatitis B, Hib, and pneumococcal conjugate vaccines.

Retained Mandates: Shots required by state law—such as MMR (measles, mumps, rubella), polio, and tetanus—remain mandatory unless changed by the legislature.

Exemptions: The proposal expands opt-outs for broader moral or ethical beliefs regarding religious objections.

Deadline: Public comment is open through September 14, 2026.

Call your Senators and Rep and tell them:

There are 2.8 million people on SNAP in Florida.

These benefits will end Nov 1st and all these people will go hungry.  The food pantries in the state are NOT able to replace SNAP benefits. Food pantries are designed to fill in the gaps where SNAP falls short. We can not allow our residents of this state to go hungry.

Demand the impeachment of Robert F. Kennedy, Jr and anyone within the Centers for Disease Control holding the GOP party line with dangerous rhetoric and policies. Demand access for all to Covid, Flu and Hep B vaccines. Demand transparency not only from the CDC, but from our own Florida state leaders that have moved to change vaccine requirements for public school enrollment.

Demand due process for immigrants currently in detention and for an immediate cease of unlawful arrests. Demand closures of immigration detention centers, such as "Alligator Alcatraz", and for the cease of opening new locations as planned by Governor Ron DeSantis. 

Call in support of  legislation that would exempt Medicare from automatic cuts triggered by H.R. 1’s deficit increases and the Pay-As-You-Go Act. Lawmakers must hold firm to their promise that Medicare will not be touched and protect seniors from the disastrous effects of H.R. 1.
